A meaningful entry

I spoke with a former friend of mine, my former best friend. It turned out that she was living together with her boyfriend already. Ofcourse, he is quite a bit older, but she herself is only eighteen. A child, still, and far too young for such a move. Or so I think. It may be a match made in heaven, but that does not change my opinion.
True enough, through the ages, even 50 years ago, it was not all too strange for a girl to be married when she was 20 but the times have changed, and most girls - me including I guess - are still half children. To use a part of the title of a horrible Britney Spears song, 'not a girl, not yet a woman'.

Was this an entry with meaning? Hardly. I just had to get it off my chest. While there are some more words on this subject to be found in my book, there is nothing more of it which I'd like to share online.
