The Queen's golden morning

Posted at 05:26 AM on January 24, 2008

Yesterday, I met up with Nay-Nay in the Village. We had not seen each other in quite some time, because we both had been busy with a lot of things - for instance, Nay-Nay's visit to her South-Corean friends - and thus we made a little appointment to meet each other. We had planned to go to Liesbeth and have a drink there, but as it was still very early, it turned out Liesbeth had not even opened yet. Next time I make an appointment with someone, I'll check openingtimes first.

Well, anyway, since it was raining slightly , and not too warm outside, we decided to browse someshops first and then go for a drink.

I bought two little pieces of decoration in the shape of a very cute bird  for the two Knights (they really seemed to like it, which made me quite happy), a cute black handbag, earrings in the shape of ice crystals  and shoes!

I really love my new shoes - please forgive me for this little rant, I simply have to tell someone about them, which I can not do at home. They are black, have a small strap across the foot and have high heels of approximately 8.5 centimeters! I really needed a little practice to walk elegantly on them, yesterday.
As the King and Queen forbid me to wear (or buy) shoes with high heels or shoes which are not made of leather, and seeing that my new shoes have both the wrong material and the wrong heels, I will not be able to wear them at the Palace. I do wear them at school though.

The funny thing about these shoes is, while wearing them, I feel different than usual. It is the same effect as lipstick has on me. I can not say, though, whether this effect exist only in my mind, or that it also can be noticed by others, in my behaviour, for instance. If so, I am sure my lovely friends will point it out to me.

But let us continue with the rest of my appointment. After our little shopping spree, Nay-Nay and I went to Liesbeth and had a couple of drinks . Needless to say that there was quite a bit of gossip in our conversation, as we spoke also about friends of us whom we had not seen in a while, and people whom we had been friends with in the past.

The only thing that spoiled the morning was the fact that I had to be at school at five to twelve, and thus had to leave at the end of the morning. However, it had been a 'golden morning'.

Right now, though, I am a little sad that I have to miss the meeting of the debating club because I have a exam-meeting for my art course, and of course, exams come before fun.

Wishing you a lovely day,

 {Queen Elise}
