I am not a person to strike cruelly, but as I queen, I should not accept any riot. Because, if I accept even the slightest sound of disbelieve, I will in no time find myself facing a revolution. A second French revolution, but then on a very small scale. To prevent this, heads might roll too, but at least it won?t be mine.
It might be an old-fashioned idea and for the world, I strongly disencourage it, but for my kingdom ? my school, my home, my friends; a kingdom worth more than any man could think of ? I favour absolutism. We must rule firmly. However, not as a dictator, but as an absolute queen. It is my believe that absolutism does not have to be wrong, as long as a ruler keeps the best interest of her subjects in her mind. Always. For a Queen, her own luck should not always come first.
I am not like the rose of England as her father Henry VIII called her when she was a very young girl, Mary Tudor, nor am I like Henry himself. I usually try to avoid judging people based on their believes. Although I have a certain dislike for the Christian believes, there are still a lot of Christians which I do respect. I assume, on this matter, I am more like Mary?s half-sister, Elizabeth, whom respected the personal believes of her subjects, as long as they imposed no danger to the crown.
I can certainly relate to this. I do not see criticism as a danger to my crown, when given by those whom are in a position to judge. However, from backstabbing courtiers, whom are too cowardly to speak up and tell me their true thoughts, whose only intention is to bring me down, I will not accept it.
Queen Elizabeth I had the guts to have her dear friend, the earl of Essex, beheaded because of his plotting against her. It would be very unwise to ignore her example and let this happen. I must ignore my friends? wishes to ignore these people and strike mercilessly.
What will the punishment be? Exile from court? I do not think any of my dear friends would mind if I strip these vulgaire beings from their status. Or perhaps I should behead them? Certainly this is encouraged by some, but on the other hand, it would give quite a mess.
So many options? I will go over them and by the grace of this new religion Arien and I came up with, a wise decision will be made.
A lesson to be learned from this: Never truly anger a Queen!
