During the
past couple of weeks I have been asked multiple times questions such as 'why
are you back together again?' and 'are you sure he won?t dump you again?'.
These are silly questions, as the person whom is asking them is not really
asking something but actually passing a judgement. They do not wish to have a
serious conversation about my reasons why, and frankly, it is not really their
bussiness anyway.
As to the
second question, when thinking about it, these lines pop up in my mind
"And I
know, the past does not secure a thing
Because we know nothing for certain and
everything will pass
But I believe, I believe, I believe, I
believe, I believe in you and me?"
The three
lines you have read above are my translation of a part of a song by the Dutch
singer Boudewijn de Groot, named Avond
(Evening). I think it is very close to the truth. I cannot be certain, but that
does not mean I do not believe in him and me. This may seem silly, but I do not
think anyone else is able to judge about this. In the end, I am more sure of it
now than that I was back then, as it is a decision we thought about a lot.
After all, we had several months to think about it and come to the conclusion
we had been wrong.
Maybe it is
foolish, but still I believe...
Maybe it is
truth, but still I believe...
Maybe it will end as you expect, but still I chose to believe...
I believe in you and me
And certain things I do not need to believe, because the song does not work for everything. One thing I know for certain: This is love.

I assume this is the most polite way of saying 'go to hell' to everyone whom thinks he or she has the right to utter even a single letter about my relation ^_^.
