Tomorrow, I have two oral tests. One for French and one for German class. For the oral test in French, I had to hand in a text which I ill be discussing with the teacher tomorrow. I decided to go for one about Satanism (the text can be found here - it is fairly silly, but it is still worth reading. Be my guest and have a good laugh, just as I did myself), as I know quite a bit about this subject, and I doubt that my teacher will. That can not be in my disadvantage, wouldn't you agree?
I am not quite a satanist myself, but I do agree with a lot of their views. For instance, they consider stupidity to be the cardinal sin, as any other sin (as satanism knows them) comes forth out of this. And of course, a lot of the views of modern satanists are simular to those which Nietzsche displays in his works, and thus quite alike to mine.
Satanism knows 21 Satanic points (though they are also refered to under other names). Most of them I can relate to, and which I believe, are often displayed in everyday life. However, people often do not realize. Quite a shame, because knowing makes stronger. Often in our lives, we are disencouraged to gather knowledge, because people fear. Fear us to overpower them, perhaps? Whom shall say... However, I believe that knowledge is one of the most powerful and interesting things in life, and thus I was overjoyed to find out that Satanism, too, encourages to gather as much knowledge as possible, and thus to free oneself from prejudice and stupidity. Anyway, here you go (beneath it, you will find some comments of mine on a few of the points):
The Satanic points
1. Respect not pity or weakness, for they are a disease which makes sick the strong 2. Test always your strength, for therein lies success 3. Seek happiness in victory - but never in peace 4. Enjoy a short rest, better than a long 5. Come as a reaper, for thus you shall sow 6. Never love anything so much you cannot see it die 7. Build not upon sand but upon rock, and build not for today or yesterday but for all time 8. Strive ever for more, for conquest is never done 9. And die rather than submit 10. Forge not works of art but swords of death, for therein lies great art 11. Learn to raise yourself above yourself so can triumph over all 12. The blood of the living makes good fertilizer for the seeds of the new 13. He who stands atop the highest pyrimad of skulls can see the furthest 14. Discard not love but treat it as an imposter, but ever be just 15. All that is great is built upon sorrow 16. Strive not only forward, but upwards for greatness lies in the highest 17. Come as a fresh strong wind that breaks yet also creates 18. Let love of life be a goal but let your highest goal be greatness 19. Nothing is beautiful except man: but most beautiful of all is woman 20. Regect all illusion and lies, for they hinder the strong 21. What does not kill, makes stronger
The words of the Queen 8. It is exactly by such endless ambition that man has been able to do great deeds, for which their names are still mentioned with respect. Look at Alexander, at Napoleon. Alexander could have just been king of Macedon, Napoleon could have remained simply a general in the French army. However, it was because of their longing for more, that made them what they were. Learn a lesson from their life.
9. I believe, that sometimes, it is better to submit, if only temporary. It gives one more time to create a comeback.
11. It is true in a certain way. One must reach for the stars, or never be anything better than the masses.
13. Well, this certainly is a common thing if one wants ambitiones a carreer. However, this can be ignored, as sacrifices have to be made to get somewhere. That is just how it goes with everything in life.
14. I believe that love can never be an intruder. Certainly, it can distract one's attention for one moment, then actually enables you to become someone better than whom you were before; it enables one to see even more clear. Love is very important in life, no matter in what for form, and it is a force which should not be ignored. But hey, whom am I to judge? I am an idiot, when it comes to love...
18. A most wonderful lesson, wouldn't you agree?

One does not need to believe in it to learn the wise lessons which Satanism gives us. It's major point: Knowledge is everything. And that is something which I can relate to with all my heart.
