Tasks

I read an essay on 'princess tasks' today. It is a small series of assignements, made up by Princess Skye. One of the tasks she set was writing one's own fairytale with oneself as the main character.
I think her tasks are sweet yet a bit childish. Fairytales do not connect to this everyday life of mine. Turning my life into a fairytale, story-fying it, would be silly. However, her idea of setting...

A secret obsession

Everyone has something silly which they totallly love even though the entire world thinks they are too old for it, or that it is stupid. Some obsession which they do not share with others out of fear of laughter and stupid comments. My obsession - apart from books, philosophy and all such things which most people loathe - are stuffed animals Read Full Post »

Maybe it is foolish...

During the past couple of weeks I have been asked multiple times questions such as 'why are you back together again?' and 'are you sure he won?t dump you again?'. These are silly questions, as the person whom is asking them is not really asking something but actually passing a judgement. They do not wish to have a serious conversation about my reasons why, and frankly, it is not really their bussiness anyw...

Doubt...

Posted at 03:09 PM on February 24, 2008 Comments comments (0)
Doubt is an awful thing, as it is the one thing which makes us question everything which we know for certain; it makes us worry about those things which are most delicate, those things which are easily damaged. Such as love.
It is so difficult not to doubt, not to get afraid to lose someone. And that is exactly which is the wor...

Next to you...

In Dora's course, I listened to my mp3-player, and at a certain point, almost at the end of the period, a song by Boudewijn de Groot was played, named "Naast jou" (this means 'Next to you').

It is a song about breaking away from a person and a very beautiful line in this song says "I will be dreaming of exactly the same things (as I d...

Just a word...

Posted at 11:38 AM on February 19, 2008 Comments comments (0)
I wrote that 'love' is just a four letter word, and that saying 'I love you'does not mean much, but once again, I must take back my words. Because, my words obviously were stupid. I know that it are just little words but their meaning is special. No matter how rationally we act, and how straight we would like to carry out this rational line of thought, it is impossible to shut out our emotions.

A daring task

I

n old days, women of high birth sent out knights on a task with which they could prove their love to her. However, the times have changed, and there are no dragons anymore, no places to be discovered. Thus, there are no daring tasks left anymore. After all, Shutting up your younger brothers is a very c...

Sweet misery

Posted at 07:58 AM on February 14, 2008 Comments comments (0)

Sweet misery, is that not an awful paradox? Perhaps you even consider this to be a contradiction, but I can assure you that it is so far from impossible. Even that what makes you feel so miserable still can be a happiest memory of yours, which can bring a smile to your face. Without wanting to, in your mind, it is played over and over again and if you would ever need anything that makes you so happy that it would actually enable you to cast a patronus charm, it i...

The road goes on and on

Today, I overheard a discussion between two girls in the school library about a friend of them whose boyfriend apparently broke up with her a few days ago. For many girls, it is easy to break down in tears over such a thing, not to crawl up again. Tears cause such a thing. The end of this is that one succumbs to self-pitying.
However, life goes on, it will not stop and wait for your 'wounds' to heal. And it is a beautiful thing that it does not. After all, if ...

Love is just a four letter word

Posted at 07:31 AM on February 14, 2008 Comments comments (0)

 A little thought on 'love'

My favourite song at the moment is an old, country-like song by Joan Baez. It is named 'Love is just a four letter word'. The strong thing about this song is that the title comes back as a line in the song and it indicates the way the 'I' person thinks...
