'Wirklichfrei macht wahrscheinlich nur der Wahnsinn.
Doch zum Wahnsinn fehlt mir der Mut.
So spiel ich die Starke und tu was ich tu,
als wär dieses Leben mehr als Täuschung, Irrtum, Betrug.
Als wär nichts, nichts, gar nichts genug.'

It always is a woman whom brings evil over the world. And if one was to believe the socialites of her time, it was once again an Eve.
The actress hasn't learned the lines you'd like to hear
She won't join your clubs, she won't dance in your halls

What a gruesome interest which mankind takes in the seamy sides of life, of history. Surely the victories are great. Howerever it are the negatives which bring the fascination. Hadn't the beautiful Romanov grand duchesses not een brutaly murdered and dumped, they wouldn't have been known better than a name and a picture in a family tree. Hadn't little baroness Vetsera died together with the crownprince of Austria-Hungary, no one would ever have heard of her name. It is death which...

Distance leads enchantment, true enough. People like me better when they know nothing about me. However, that is not the reason that Christanity's Holy Virgin is so admired. She brings softness, feminity, and a human touch to the faith. All what she symbolizes, stands opposed to the God, full of vengeance and wrath, in whose name millions died, and her son, whom - according to the church - demands endless sacrifices from all, for whom thousands of ...

A story on Anne Boleyn, written on the 6th of June 2008, out of boredom. Of course, it is full of mistakes, but since it was just a story out of amusement, I am sure it does not matter. After all, it was for entertainment purposes only.

On Princess Skye's website, I read a fierce essay on Eleanor of Aquitane. The Princess considers her to be one of the powerful women from medival days. Though I have quite some respect for the princess? opinion, I must say that I completely disagree.

I am not a person to strike cruelly, but as I queen, I should not accept any riot. Because, if I accept even the slightest sound of disbelieve, I will in no time find myself facing a revolution. A second French revolution, but then on a very small scale. To prevent this, heads might roll too, but at least it won?t be mine.
